Inspired by you

  • From the very first conversations we had with friends to our wider research, we’ve spent the last year really understanding our customers. We’ve spoken to all types of people. People who have started the journey. People who’ve quit the journey. People who love their therapists. People who don’t. People who want to start but don’t know where to start. People who want a better experience. People who are afraid or ashamed. As we began to shape the concept, we knew we wanted to do better. We just never knew just how far we’d end up going in the pursuit of wanting to make sure people could come to a place where they knew they’d be taken care of.
  • Our biggest takeaway from these conversations was the understanding that so many people aren’t happy with the existing mental health experience. The truth is the mental health industry hasn’t really changed over time. For the most part, therapy today is still obsessed with alleviating misery over promoting happiness. That to us was unacceptable. We believe people deserve to thrive and not just simply survive. In doing so, we want to make mental health accessible to everyone and ground it in an approach suited for health and happiness.
  • mindish is the product of this feedback and these ideas reflected into one space. Whether it’s our beautifully designed clinics that stand in bold contrast to the look and feel of places you've been to before or our personalized integrated approach that rejects the one size fits all model of conventional therapy. We’ve done everything to make sure you get the experience you need.

A whole new take

What does it include?
Our all-inclusive membership gives members access to everything at mindish: their very own Personal Growth Manager who works with them throughout their journey. Private sessions—with psychologists, counselors, hypnotherapists, couples therapists, life coaches, career coaches, sex therapists, sleep therapists, nutritionists, health coaches and more— all of whom we can proudly say are exceptional at what they do. Meditation programing with over 240+ practices per month. Intimate member-only events from our regular bookclub to storytelling sessions, workshops and classes.
Personal Growth Managers
Every mindish member has their very own Personal Growth Manager, a mental health expert who works with members to set goals, make plans and manage their mindish memberships. Personal Growth Managers play an active role in each member’s journey making sure members are getting exactly what they need at mindish while providing support and accountability to members, even when members are not at mindish. After all, it is the small decisions in our lives that we make everyday that influence our health and happiness. When not spending time with members, Personal Growth Managers are busy prepping therapists and coaches for members’ private sessions while reviewing notes and outcomes after private sessions, personalizing practices with meditation teachers, and working with facilitators and colleagues to plan meaningful events. Ultimately, Personal Growth Managers work to support members in ways conventional therapists cannot and ensure that sustainable, measurable growth is being achieved.
Therapy & Coaching
The truth is humans are too broad and varied. We’re incredibly unique beings. Each with our own story. Our approach to therapy honors the individuality of the human experience by creating an integrated therapeutic approach that is specific to each member. Our Personal Growth Managers work with members to assess individual needs while understanding goals and preferences and use this insight to identify therapists and coaches at mindish that would work well with each member. This means that members don’t just get the expertise they need but that they also get to work with therapists and coaches based on approach, fit and personality.
Meditations
As with almost everything else, we take a different approach to meditations here at mindish. Our intentional meditation programing focuses on a goal and is intended to help members understand the true meaning of a meditation: that it is not a class where you unplug from the world around you for a brief moment only to return to the chaos of our lives. Rather, our approach to meditations honors the truth behind mindfulness: that it is a way of being. Something to be taken with you as you navigate the chaos. Never a one-off activity.
Member Events
Our intimate member-only events bring together members, therapists and special guests to explore ideas that are meaningful to our community. In addition to our regular book club — we host storytelling sessions with fellow members, workshops led by our mindish therapists and coaches, group therapy sessions that emphasize vulnerability and connection, fireside chats with authors, community leaders, activists and entrepreneurs as well as classes and courses that seek to inform our wider journey. At times, we welcome members to share the love by bringing a non-member friend.

Choosing a practitioner

Choosing a therapist or coach can be hard, sometimes even scary. Firstly, identifying the type of practitioner you need to see is tricky. And once you do, you must be able to trust them, they must possess the skills and expertise you require—and most of all—you must have chemistry. Imagine having to walk into a room to share your most vulnerable truths with a stranger who isn't the right fit? Our Personal Growth Managers work with you to identify exactly what you need and the right type of therapist or coach you need at every step of the way—based on your goals, personality and preferences, so you're never blindsided on your journey.

Our response to COVID-19

To protect our community and prevent the spread of COVID-19, we have implemented the following health and safety measures — so we can all have peace of mind.

Heightened deep-cleaning: We use top-grade disinfectant proven to kill COVID-19 to regularly disinfect everything from doorknobs to meditation mats to couches — regardless of how often they are used.

Our staff: We currently test our team — from therapists to meditation teachers —  every day for COVID-19. Our staff wear face masks as required by law, and are also checked for symptoms of COVID-19 regularly. We encourage staff to limit person-to-person contact, including hugs and high fives.

Aside from respecting the safety guidelines put in place by the government, we ask that every member of our community takes our commitment seriously by following our house rules.

Social distancing: Please make sure to practice social distancing when in close, shared spaces like meditation rooms and common areas. Follow the markers placed around the room to maintain a safe distance.

If you are experiencing any symptoms or feel unwell: If you have a cough, fever, or symptoms of COVID-19, please do not visit us until you are symptom-free for at least a week. If you have tested positive for COVID-19, or have knowingly come into close contact with someone who has, we ask that you do not come in for 7 days and until only after you’ve tested negative for COVID-19. If you feel unwell, please stay home and stay safe, but you can always reach out to us for support over chat or a phone call.
